Content tagged emacs
I've been switching recently to
org-roam for the notes/ wiki/ agenda
emacs, and realized that half of this page content is
tangled from .org-files scattered all over the machines (on a synchronized
partition, of course).
It would be then nice and only logical to move the whole site
Parsers already there, templating engines too. Most of the effort will
be spent on index building, which sounds like a fun exercise.
So from now on and indefinitely this page is under transition. Things gonna move around and (dis)appear randomly.
A while ago I used to own an HP PocketPC device. Yep, that
pre-smartphone era handheld personal planner. It did not make me
very productive though, on the contrary, but there was definitely
something to it. An enthralling tactile sensation of hunting pixels
on the screen with a stylus pen - that kind of resistive screen one
has to hit hard - added to the fascination of surfing through
teh personal knowledgebase consisting
of FreeDict dictionaries,
.chm-formatted textbooks and
Wikipedia snapshots. Back then all this treasure could fit on a 32Gb
I guess dat muscle memory, as much as anything, is the reason I obtained this monster.
A rare positive result of the lockdown - increased friendship
towards my editor of choice. After explaining configuration basics to
a friend another day I think I can finally formulate what clings me to
ancient everlasting piece of software.
